Terry and I married in Canada in 2002. I was born and raised in the U.S., Terry in Canada. We filed all the papers to get Terry here after we married.
They would not allow Terry into the country for two years after we married because he had former possession charges which he has Canadian pardons for. He got those charges in the 70's when he was a mere teenager.
In 2004 because of "humanitarian reasons" they said he could come to the U.S. for a visit. When Terry got here we applied for the Adjustment of Status and he then went to get his social security card and work permit.
